SKYLAR

SKYLAR! He is 3-1/2 years old, a fawn with natural
ears. He is a quiet boy, a very laid back guy that gets along with dogs
and cats and loves human company. He is very sweet and is a follower, so
no privacy with this friendly boy! He goes everywhere you go!
He was put into an animal control with internal parasites, heartworms,
contagious sarcoptic mange, demodectic mange as well, and a filthy coat
with lots of hair loss. He was also notably depressed, understandably so.
He was given up to animal control because his owner couldn't pay for his
medical care.
He is now in a foster home, enjoying learning to be an inside dog. He
loves the couches, loves walks, loves that good food he can have daily. He
loves his whole foster family, who is equally in love with him! His foster
family has observed that he cringes at loud noises and tucks his tail when
meeting new people. They believe he might have been abused or beaten as
well as neglected. He is working through his issues and is very happy
learning new stuff about the world. He is blossoming and beginning to
"talk" as his mom has described it, and tells his foster dad that he wants
to go out or for a walk, etc. He is a special, affectionate and gentle dog
that is very grateful for any kindness given him, and is fast getting
attached to his foster family and being treated with respect and love. He
is being medically treated for the various mange conditions and will soon
be healthy enough to begin his heartworm treatment.
