Murphy

This is MURPHY. She is a tall blue merle with pretty natural ears and is about 4 1/2 years old. She is VERY much over weight and needs to lose about 25 pounds! She is a lovely girl but will look even prettier when she sheds those pounds! Murphy loves kids and is a very friendly and affectionate girl. She will, however, push other dogs out of the way so that she might have ALL the attention. She originally was given up to rescue because her family had too many dogs and they turned her into an animal control where she was going to be put to sleep. In her next home she was continually attacked by another dog in the house. In her last home there was a death in the family out of state that caused them to have to leave the dogs behind in the care of the neighbor. Since her family didn't know when they would be able to return home, they chose to give Murphy up and return her to our rescue.

Murphy is looking for a forever home that will help her lose weight and become healthy. She needs a family that will be careful and conscientious about her nutrition and not overfeed her. She would love a family that likes walking every day and might take her for rides in the car. She enjoysbeing able to sit on the couchand snuggle, or to curl up at your feet where ever the action is. She is a happy dog that will make a great companion for a family that will love her and will keep her forever.
