Abbie is a very pretty fawn puppy with a lot of white and is 1 1/2 years of age. She came in with her sister, Annie. Abbie is a little bit more outgoing than her sister but both of these girls are very sweet natured, like kids and other dogs, and are responsive when called. They were bought as puppies from a not so clean back yard breeder and have grown to a big size that allows them to step over the little 3 foot fence in the yard. They were getting out and running the neighborhoods and were in danger from a neighbor that threatened to kill them if they set foot on his property! They also were clearly in danger of being hit on the highway close to their home. The family could not afford higher fencing and decided that they would give them up for the sake of their safety. They grew up with little kids and Chihuahuas and would leave the 12 year old cat alone in the house, though they were known to chase the outside cats. They were kept inside a lot but when let out they would go over the little fence and be down the road looking for something get into. They are getting the necessary exams and medical treatment and will be further evaluated in a foster home.
