She is a pretty harlequin female that is having the time of her life with all sizes of dogs in her foster home. She is a playbaby and enjoys the company of the other dogs. She is 1-1/2 years old and is very puppyish and playful. She is responsive and mannerly and is open to learning more about everything! She was locked in a small bathroom all day and not cared for well in her former home. We believe she might have been abused because of her shyness and fear when a hand is raised. She was too lively for the toddlers in her former home and will do better with older kids. She is a very sweet girl and loves hugs and kisses and a gentle touch.
Foster update Oct 7, 2003
Olympia is learning manners and how to share with the other dogs. She is a confident girl who is smart enough to have taught herself how to open lids and doors and crates! She loves toys but would like them all to herself. She does listen well and will comply with the rules if they are pressed. :-) She loves food and will help herself to the other dog's dishes if not watched. She is good with dogs, big and tiny and she is living with a Dane and a Chihuahua. She is athletic and is full of young energy. For this reason her foster mom recommends children 10 years and older. She likes long walks and meeting people and doing zoomies and eating and in general most of everything except getting her toe nails clipped. She does, however, like getting her teeth brushed! Yes, unusual but nice. She is highly intelligent and has good potential to be an Obedience dog who would benefit greatly even with simple Obedience classes. She is a snuggler and very loving. She will need a family that will make sure she follows the rules and will give her the attention she craves which will help her become a very happy member of someone's lucky family. Jan 8....Olympia is a stunning merle and white with the bluest eyes! Her personality matches her looks. She is outgoing and loves EVERYONE! She is good with other dogs. She does have puppy exuberance which has to be supervised and controlled, of course. Obedience classes should be a wonderful way to bond and to teach her. She is smart and ready for anything. She loves kids and adults and dogs. Cats are unknown at this time. But she is responsive and wants to please so she should not have a difficult time learning anything. She loves walks and rides and just suggest anything to her and she is there to join in. She's a happy girl and will need love, respect for who she is, and guidance to get the rules right. And she will reward the people she loves over and over with intelligence and most decidedly with fun.
