LANCE!  He is about 4-1/2 to 5 months old, is black with lots of white, and has natural ears, one of which at times might stand by itself (see his pictures)!  He was brought into a vet this month very sick and needing vet care.  His brief owners didn't have the money to pay to save him so they requested that he be put to sleep.  The vets asked that he be turned over to them to try to save him.  And if they could, then they would find a home for him later.  They suspected parvo and treated him for it.  They asked for our help when they thought he was well enough to find a new home.

He was a little bit shy and skittish and seemed to view the world as a frightening place when he first came into rescue.  But he is quickly getting accustomed to people, eating, running, playing and hugs and kisses!  He is getting some basic obedience and vocabulary work in his foster home and has met all the other dogs and cats successfully without being killed by any of them, much to his surprise!  He's affectionate and sweet and is very much a big clumsy Dane puppy wondering when all four feet will operate together.  He is being put on a healthy diet and is being further evaluated in his foster home.
