CHARLIE

update: This little boy is VERY sweet and
loving, says his foster home. He wants to please, his feelings
are crushed if a voice is raised at him, and he is trying hard
to learn lots of new things. He 'sits' when asked, 'waits',
'comes' (ALWAYS comes!), and has learned that foster mom wants
all dogs to not invade the kitchen area. (They all wait by the
kitchen door!) He plays with the resident dogs, and many times
sleeps snuggled with the resident blind kitty! Foster mom says
he has been a fresh canvas to work with but wants very much to
please you. He still needs obedience work which works wonders
for all dogs. And he is shy when meeting strangers with his long
tail tucked up under. But once he sees he will not be hurt, the
tail is out and wagging. He's very affectionate, gives quick
kisses and sweet hugs. He is very nicely crate trained now and
sleeps all night long without a peep. His house manners are
wonderful as far as potty training goes. But he needs a little
more learning on not counter surfing and other manners. He was
emaciated when he came to us with all bones showing, so he might
still think he will never get another meal. We hope for a
patient and loving home for him to show him the world really is
a nice and kindly place after all, and one in which his
confidence can grow and one that will watch him blossom into a
smart, loyal and special family companion.
